Concept/Branding/Art Direction/Production/Package Design
With tight deadlines and limited available visual direction from Marvel/Marvel Studios early on in film production, the overall look and feel were developed to cover multiple toy product lines. Cross collaboration between packaging structure designers and toy designers were essential to maintain visual layout/appeal and keep overall cost in mind. The art direction included being present in the photography studio, establishing various shots for compositional layout. Art direction, branding and package design layout for multiple product lines were brought from concept to completion.
Black Panther Movie

Some major challenges with this project included developing branding elements and look/feel with assets that were still in development or not yet available from the movie studio. Several design elements and patterns(alongside color correcting provided assets) were created/composited to assist with these challenges and were subsequently approved by Marvel Studios. Some of these assets were adopted into other licensed Marvel Studios products. With unique toy product designs, I drafted package dieline concepts, communicating between multiple engineering parties to maintain quality and cost. The art direction included being present in the photography studio, establishing various shots for compositional layout. The art direction, branding and package design layout for multiple product lines were brought from concept to completion.
SDCC 2018: Red Skull & Tesseract Comic Con Exclusive
Concept/Art Direction/Layout
A very exciting project meant to attract hardcore fans at San Diego Comic Con. Worked with both package structure and product engineers to create an engaging and interactive package design and layout. Art direction included providing clear concepts to a third party agency to assist with the detailed illustrations and graphical elements. Collaborated with our in-house copy writing team to craft a visual narrative for the inside portion of the package. The art direction, package design, layout were brought from concept to completion.

The entire look/feel and unique assets were created accommodate for no provided asset material from the movie studio having been so early in film production. Concepts were provided to Marvel and were quickly approved. With unique toy product designs and structures, communication between multiple engineering parties were essential to maintain quality and cost.
